Difference between Jericho 941 and Glock 17?

The Jericho 941 has a 10 round magazine, and the Glock 17 has a 17 round. Both gun handles are around the same length, so is the glock handle a little wider to accommodate the double column magazine?

  1. Quick answer is, one's a brick, the other's not.

Detailed answer is:  The Jericho was/is based on the famous/infamous CZ-75 design.  While competent, accurate, and dependable, it's just too d**n heavy for most shooters.

It's reasonable to conclude that most people bought the CZ's when they weren't "popular" and therefore, inexpensive.  Not so much anymore.  Between steel costs and editorial reviews, their pricing has steadily climbed over the last 20 some odd years.

Again, there is nothing wrong with the ergonomics and layout but, they are big, heavy and not nearly as popular as say, Glocks, Springfield XD's (great guns by the way), Hi-Powers, even Baretta's.

One who owns or wants one of these truly likes it because there is so much argument against.

    Reference:

    Glock:  17+1

    Springfield:  16+1 (maybe 17+1)

    Browning: 17+1 (SR9)

    Baretta: 16+1

    Sigma: 16+1

I think I have those right.  Regardless, nothing less than 16+1 in 9mm out of ANY of them.  Even if you can get the high capacity you mentioned in the Jericho/CZ line, why would you want all that weight?

The others are just as, or more so, accurate than the Jericho?  I guess when you run out of ammo you would have a slight advantage in that you could always beat your opponent to death with the Jericho/CZ's.  You would definitely have an edge there.

Short of that, no real reason to look at one.  I believe you have to be more careful with lead-based bullets as well, much like the desert eagle?

  2. The 9mm Baby Eagle was sold to restrictive states with a 10 round magazine but to more free states with a 15 or 16 round magazine.

The brick-like appearing Glock 19 weighs just under 600 grams empty.  The polymer frame versions of the Baby Eagle start at 680 grams and go up to another 100 grams for the fullsize.

The problem with the Glock is the balance.  Since there is alot of weight in the large square shaped slide, it feels top heavy where a Baby Eagle is balance better and you do not feel the extra weight.
