  1. Lots of differences long answer on the way

They are very convenient for loading not as much bending to get dishes in the top drawer

a dish drawer will not hold a tall or as many Items as a traditional dishwasher. You only have about 111/2 " in height and about 15% less room in 2 drawers than you would have in a standard dishwasher.

They have lower water pressure. Hince they don't clean as vigorously as a traditional D/W a drawer only has to push water to the top of the drawer (approx 11 inches)

a Standard dishwasher has to pus that water approx 30" almost 3 time the water pressure as a drawer

the people that seem to love them would be the house hold with two professional both working don't entertain a lot. They can easily keep there favorite cereal bowl and coffe mug clean along with a couple of glasses and plates from dinner.

I would not recommend a drawer dishwasher for a family or someone who has lots of dinner parties. IMO

  2. I think you mean Dish-drawer dishwasher.

The only real difference is the way you load the dishes into them. Dishwashers usually have one large door that hinges at the bottom (or sometimes the side, like a fridge).

Dishdrawer dishwashers have one or more drawers that you load your dishes into. (a bit like a filing cabinet)

  3. I have used a Fisher Paykel drawer dishwasher.  You use the drawers separately.  I found that this had advantages and disadvantages.  You could set one drawer running for instance without waiting to fill the entire machine.  The disadvantages are obviously more expensive running if you use two drawers separately and (on the Fisher and Paykel) there was not the same amount of depth for large plates etc.  It all depends on your lifestyle and what you want to do.  The other consideration is cost (as well as running cost) as these appear to be very expensive in comparison to  a traditional dishwasher.
