Difference between a highway & freeway???

A highway can be just about any road, Mainly a main road, that connects towns and cities together. A freeway and an expressway are similar to each other, unlike a highway in that there would be no traffic lights, the only way to get on and off would be through exits and interchanges, and the speed limit would be similar to Interstate speeds. Of course, a freeway should not have tolls, while an expressway might have tolls.

A Freeway is a type of highway.  Free is a divided highway having two or more lanes for the exclusive use of traffic in each direction and full control of access.
