  1. That is the pound sign. Englands currency is sterling pounds and pence.

  2. it is roughly $3, at the current rate you basically double the amount of pounds (sterling) to get the american dollar. eg:

    £1=$2

I say roughly though because it tends to differ by a few pence when dealing with small amount, and eventually a few pounds when dealing with larger amounts.

100 pence to 1 pound sterling

    simple.

but if you ever look at old money (before the decimal system) things change. this is how it was up until the early 1970s.

    12 pence =1 shilling

    20 shillings =1 pound

    I hope this helps. :)

  3. Use        xe.com

and that weird english sign £ is a pound sign :)

  4. £ if this is the sign, then it is a pound sign.. and £1.50 would be roughly $3

  5. Says a lot for your attitude, not american so its weird.

    Stay at home.
