  1. Carom Billiards -Large tables 5 X 10 no pockets

Snooker -A cue sport with larger tables small pockets and balls a completly diff style of play -a shot makers game

    Pool Every thing else

  2. The size and number of the balls on the table for the first two.....the last one has balls sometime and a bunch of water!!

  3. billiards is anything with balls on a table......hehe.  snooker is played on a big table with small balls.  pool is your regular 8 by 4 table with normal sized balls.

  4. Billiards was originally a term used to describe 3 cushion which is played on a table with no pockets. "Pocket billiards" was any game played on a table with pockets, but mainly referred to what we consider 'american' pool. Nowadays, when people say billiards they are generally referring to any game played on a table. Pool just refers to games played on american table (T. dot, a standard table is NOT 8x4, is it 9x4.5 with a 100"x50" playing surface. The original term for 8' tables was 'mini-pool.')

Snooker is a completely different game, mostly popular in the UK. The standard size of a table is 12'x6'. The pockets are smaller and have rounded edges, and the balls are a bit smaller too. The game is played with 21 balls.

  5. Billiards includes all games. The difference comes between pool and snooker!. snooker is Played different than pool, different amount of balls, different objective, the snooker table is the biggest table used, and the toughest, pockets are smaller, balls are of different weight,  Que is different size and weight.

Pool has many games that can be played, 8 ball 9 ball straight pool, 3 ball, And the objectives are different, Someone makes the eight or nine to win being the object ball.

8 you can play variations of the game, like straight in, most common, with certain rules set by a governing body, or house rules, meaning the rules of the hall or bar you are playing in.

you can play last pocket, or bank the eight, but most common

among players and gamblers, is straight in.

9 ball, you have to go in rotation, and eventually making the object ball to win. I would say the rules used on 9 ball are somewhat simpler than 8ball rules, as the definitions are

clearer. and game is not as complicated as far as rules go.

Straight pool is usually played on what they call 14to 1, and a shooter continues, as long as hedoesn't miss, or foul.

Usually you go up to 150, and whoever gets there first wins.

The game has been played up to 50, or a hundred, as long as both as both players agree. the first rack you rack all 15 balls, and shoot the 14, then rack the other 14, and player shoots at the fifteenth ball that is not in the rack, and continues as long as he doesn't miss. does that help?

  6. In the Phils, billiards is ref to 9 ball, rotation etc, but also called pool.

Billiards  was originally, and still is, played on a table with no pockets.

Snooker is played on the largest table.

Pocket billiards in public can get you arrested!!
