  1. a blower uses a fan to push air, while a compressor uses moving pistons to force air through.

  2. A blower is a simple fan that is used simply for moving air, with not much pressure increase.

A compressor is intended to increase the pressure of the air being sent to supplied components.

  3. well a blower is for yard and lots compressor is for small things cleaning out cracks on ur buildings or computer keyboard stuff

  4. A blower is like a fan, it simply accelerate & pushes the air out, like the one in your car, or a chiller display cabinet. A compressor is a different device, 'cos it works like a fan, but at a much higher speed & it rams the air into a chamber to give you compressed air before releasing it at a given pressure setting, pressurised air like those in aerosol spray cans, scuba dive-tanks, etc. Compressors can compress air or gases until it becomes so dense that it turns into liquid oxygen (lox, used to preserve critical medical stuff, transportation of donor organs), or liquid nitrogen (use to preserve food in quick-freeze method), they are also used in high-performance (nitro-assisted power) race cars.

Engines with super-chargers (another type of compressor) give you better power out-put... turbo-chargers are even better 'cos the turbines can compress & accelerate air at a much faster rate than a super-charger.
