What's the difference between... microvilli's and vesicles

they have the same function

  1. I don't know where you are getting that they have the same function, because not only are these structurally different, but they have totally different functions as well.

    Vesicles are small structures in cells that contain things for transport. A lot of the time Golgi bodies will transport items in vesicles in order to send them outside of the cell.

    Micro villi are tiny hairlike protrusions from a plasma membrane that are used in increasing a cell's surface area. In our intestines, we have tons of tiny micro villi in order to be able to absorb more of the food we ingest.  Because they provide the cell with more surface area, more chemical reactions can occur.
