  1. You can write the compound as H3N+(covalent bond)BF3-, with a positive charge on N, a negative charge (as I have tried to show) on B, and a covalent bond between them.

    Or you can write it as H3N(arrow)BF3, where the arrow is a coordinate bond. Both ways of writing it mean exactly the same thing.
