  1. Im also a girl snowboarder and it really doesnt matter if it is a guy or a girl board just be sure to get a board based on your height, wieght, and whether or not you want a flex or stiff board....

    Hope this helps!

  2. theres really only 3 differences and the first u pointed out....graphics....i'm a girl but i really dont like the overly feminine boards...just my style

second would be the lengths..guys will go up to 160s and girls normally dont....but some of the guys board may only start in the 148 range (probably about 5'6 range)

third would be waist size (width of the board) guys are generally wider because they normally have bigger feet. if you have small feet and are riding a mens board you might have difficulty transitioning from toe to heel edges. womens boards are a little narrower for our smaller feet.

  3. Girl boards have a bit more flex than guy boards.

  4. Girls boards are usually a little lighter and they have a narrower waist which makes it faster to go from edge to edge.

I have a guys board and a girls board and I feel a big difference in turning, but if you are advanced you probably won't notice it.

If you don't like the graphics you can always overlay your own (http://www.boardcoverz.com/)

  5. girl boards i think are narrower and lighter, also have more female friendly graphics, no skulls lol

  6. a guys board will generally be stiffer and wider.  This makes for a more agressive board.  A guys board will be more stable at high speeds, but it will also be harder to control and turn.  A female board will be more forgiving.  You will notice a difference.  Since women have smaller feet, it makes a guys board extra wide for them.

Only advanced female riders should really consider going with a guys board, and if you are asking this question, you are probably not advanced enough to be giving up the forgiving ride and ease of handling.

I would suggest sticking with a female specific board.

  7. You can go for a guy's board if you like.  There is such a huge variety of flex in boards that it is easy to find a guy's board that is more flexible than some girl's boards.  You should be very careful about the one you choose though.  As other answers have pointed out, you don't want to go too wide nor too stiff.   If there were a particular brand that you had in mind, I may be able to provide a more detailed recommendation.
