  1. it depends on the hospital and the college.  look for a lab that is privately, not federally, funded.  it will have better equipment which will make it slightly safer.

Also consider that hospitals are full of sick people, so you may be exposed to more viruses and bacteria.

  2. I have worked in both college and hospital research laboratories. I worked with a group of post-docs who were dong research on simian HIV in the hospital lab and worked on synthesizing a polymer for use in growing skin cultures for burn victims in the college lab. I can tell you without a doubt that working in a college lab is safer. At least in my experience. The lab P.I.s are responsible for anything that happens for in their labs. Outside of academia, (the real world), people don't really care. Safety practices are only in place so that O.S.H.A. doesn't shut you down. They never wore safety glasses. But as far as what you will be exposed to while at work, that depends on what type of lab you work in, chemistry, biology, immunology, ect. Good luck!

  3. in hospital labotaties may b you hv 2 work 4 emergencies and also due to havey work load they cant pay attention wht u want but i suggest u collg lab....................http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...
