Difference between one and two piece hydrofoil?

What really makes the difference between a one piece and two piece hydrofoil (stabilzer) and Any reason for not wanting to drill holes in cavitation plate? It looks like I have too, just wondering.

Different brands mostly. They really help with being able to keep the boat planing at lower throttle. I don't know of any way to attach it without bolts, but I haven't tried epoxy....
