Difference between paint ???

1-2. Stain is used on wood furniture, fences, decks, etc. The sheens go from flat, flat enamel, eggshell, satin, soft gloss, semi gloss, and high gloss. The shinier it is, the easier it is to clean. Satin is the most popular sheen because it's in the middle and it's probably the most versatile because you can use it in just about every room of your house. Semi gloss is used for doors and trim.

3. I like Valspar, but that's just my preference.
