  1. REFURBS ARE PRETTY MUCH BALLS THEY FIND IN THE WOODS AND PULL OUT OF THE WATER. ALSO BALLS THEY USE FOR TESTING. THEY THEN GET A NEW COAT OF PAIN ANS WHALA... NEW REFURB BALLS. I THINK IT BETTER TO SPEND A COUPLE BUCKS MORE FOR THE GOOD ONES, BUT AS MY FATHER HAS ALWAYS SAID... "ITS NOT THE BALL OR THE CLUBS, ITS THE MAN SWINGING THE CLUB AND HITTING THE BALL" TIGER COULD PLAY A HICKORY SHARTED PUTTER AND BEAT ME ON 18 HOLES WITH JUST THAT 1 CLUB AND A WATER LOGGED BALL I PULL OUT OF THE POND.

  2. Basically the new ones will give you the performance you expect from a pro v Guaranteed and the refurbished ones are a Gamble because they have already been used.

  3. One of my regular golfing partners plays quite often with Links Choice brand refurbished Pro V1s. I've never heard him complain about them or their performance, and he posts about the same scores with or without them.

I think the best thing to do is try them. Worst case scenario, you end up with a couple dozen rocks you can give away, use on water holes, or practice with. I'd suggest buying from Rock Bottom Golf, they've got a bunch of used Titleists at good prices [ http://www.rockbottomgolf.com/titleistgo... ], plus you can get 10% off if you use the code Slick10Off during checkout.

FYI: Links Choice has something on their packaging to the effect of "We rarely hear any complaints, and if you have one about our products please contact us immediately" which, while not a guarantee, sounds good to me.

    Best of luck!

  4. The new one is brand new and the other one has been furbished again. Hope this helps.

    Hit em straight!

  5. I found one of those balls and as it looked alright I played with it and it started to change colour form white to a shade of yellow.  I would not buy them.

  6. You never know what the refurb ball has been through. Balls can degrade over time, for one thing sitting in a water trap  for any length of time isnt really good for them. Ask yourself why they need to be refurbished - answer, because nobody would want them in the state they are found in!

If you're at the level where the ProV1 is the right ball for you (rather than just buying them because of reputation) then do yourself a favour and buy new ones.

  7. I play with the Links Choice ProV1x's.  They are refurbs but work well I think.  I do also play with some new ones (occasionally) and I don't seem to notice much of a difference.  Titleist knows how to make a good ball, it'll last.

  8. New ones have never been used, refurbished means they have a new paint job

  9. About $2.50 a piece. That's about it.

  10. Who knows where the refurbished ball came from but with so many people and stores selling FINDZEES you can pick up quality Pro V 1s for a nominal cost. That would be my suggestion. Any golf ball which is in good condition can be used by the better player with results as good as he would get from the Pro V1s. Think about that!!
