Working my way to becoming a teacher in Northern Virginia, what is the difference between the provisional and conditional teaching license?

  1. I'm in Kentucky.  Here, the provisional certificate is the one you have until you've passed your internship year (called KTIP here).  After you pass that internship (your first year of teaching), the next license you request will be conditional.  It's conditional upon you renewing it in time and getting your master's degree, etc.
