Difference between rack steering and rotary steering?

rack or rotary doesnt matter it depends on how much room you have  stay with whats there now, and check this web site out, i bought my new cable from them and it was cheaper and arrive on time

"Rack" uses a geared steering shaft (pinion) to operate a geared rack that pushes and pulls the cable.

Rotary uses a cable that is wraped with another spiraled cable and this is operated by a wheel (pulley type system).

There is surely a better way to explain it, but once you see them, you will understand the difference.
