  1. Well it's kinda technical, scattered are scattered and isolated are isolated. Hope this helps.


  2. Scattered is when it could storm throughout the day, different storms, different times of the day. Isolated is a storm going through one small area.

  3. Isolated is just when there is no organization to storm complex.  Storms just pop up out of what, it seems like, nowhere.

    Scattered tstorms are usually in a line but there are breaks in that line and not all places that it looks like the storm will hit will actually get hit.

  4. scattered refers to several, isolated would be one.  Doesn't matter, whatever the weather says it it really just an educated guess.

  5. Isolated storms are confined to that particulier area.Scattered storms are distributed periodically throughout the day.

  6. A scattered thunderstorm is a thunderstorm that's scattered across the area in different locations, as if it was a bag of marbles thrown over a map. An isolated thunderstorm is one that's contained in one area, as if the marbles were caught in a jar.
