  1. traditionally markets are rural and sell fresh produce. In many countryside communities the individuals that grow the produce sell it direct, they then reap the rewards, and not the money grabbing supermarkets who take a huge chunk of their profit!


  2. Market is one that is not air conditioned whereas shopping centers are air conditioned

  3. A shoping center usually offers all kinds of goods, from clothing to small household items and sometimes even produce and groceries, but not always.  

    Sometimes shopping centers are composed of more than one store... simaler to a mall but not enclosed.

    A market is mainly groceries and produce and maybe a small amount  cleaning and paper products, but not things like clothing and appliances, etc.

    Open air markets are outdoor markets where fresh produce is brought fresh from the farm for sale.
