1. Degrees: Classification:

    Bachelors - Undergraduate

    Masters - Graduate

    Doctorate - Professional

    MBA - Professional

    Specialist - Professional

    MSW - Professional

Each university has their own way of classifying students and you need to read the catalog to understand it. The above table is a general table that shows the different types of classifications.

Undergraduate - Is anyone who is completing a Bachelors degree

Graduate - Is anyone who has a bachelors and is furthering their education. So any degrees like MBA, PhD, EdD, MSW, MA, MS, MD, and JD are graduate degrees.

Professional - is open to interpretation and is generally a terminal degree, the highest degree you can get. For example MSW, MBA, PhD, JD, and MD are examples of professional degrees. Sometimes a school will also offer a specialist degree which sits between a Masters and a Doctorate. Usually you will see them in education and normally take three years to complete after receiving your bachelors degree.

  2. you would be an undergraduate. you will still be an undergrad in college. its not till you graduate from college that you are a graduate student. and yes there are different schools in universities. you only get into college once. and then in school each major will be in a different school. for instance Science majors will be in the Science school but you dont need to apply. Education majors are in the education school. its just a way of separating the majors at the university.

  3. The difference in that is graduates have a highly thinking skills, also they has an evidence that they graduated because of their "DIPLOMA". Some of undergraduates has a experience in different jobs although they're undergraduate.
