Hi :) im doing my book report and i have to write a summary of my book... here's what i have so far...but does it sound like too much of a book review instead of a summary???

Blair and Ardith were brought together by a bizarre, twisted sort of fate; either that or they were both total social outcasts. Leftovers, written by Laura Weiss, tells the story of two teenage girls who were both brought up in abusive homes. Although the types of abuse differed, the two girls could related to each other in seeing that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side and that everybody has their own set of problems to cope with.

This novel begins by inferring that a tragedy has occurred; Blair is narrating to start off.

  1. well your summery should just be a recap of what happened. it sounds like your describing the conflict too much "Although the types of abuse differed, the two girls could related to each other in seeing that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side and that everybody has their own set of problems to cope with."

try making an outline of each chapter, and then cut out the unimportant stuff, then put it together.

  2. A review focuses on your opinions and evaluations.  A summary includes only things that can be found in the original.

If everything you wrote in your first paragraph is screamingly obvious in the book itself, then your content is fine so far.
