Difference between the Canon S2 IS vs Canon S5 IS camera?

Question

I have the Canon S2 IS right now and was wondering what does the Canon S5 IS have that the Canon S2 doesnt have? Should I upgrade, is it really worth it or should i stick with my Canon S2?

I dont know THAT much about cameras, so please explain the difference to me as if you were explaining it to a 10 year old LOL

what are the pixels for, whats the main purpose of them?

ect....im not to familiar with these kind of cameras, i just know that they take amazing pictures and great video!
