Difference between the Correspondence and Existential theory of truth?

Can someone point out the difference(s) between the Correspondence and Existential theory of truth? They seen very similar to me. Am I misunderstanding?

  1. You're probably confused because both involve existence. Correspondence theory takes for granted that things exist and we can know something about them and if that something corresponds to the characteristics of the thing in question then what we know is true. On the other hand, Existential truth prioritizes existence over essence. Existential truth indicates an interest in present situations; it moves human concerns away from fixed definitions and closer to experienced particulars. In brief, existential truth tends to be more subjective and passionate. I hope this helps.
