Difference between yrt and ttc?

I'm used to riding on yrt and yrt viva buses. If i enter a yrt bus I just slip the bus ticket into that thing beside the driver and im good. if i need a transfer ticket, i have to ask the driver for one. For viva buses i just validate my bus ticket at the bus stop and enter bus without showing the bus driver anything.

how does ttc bus system work? is it exactly the same? is the transfer system the same as well? I just need moved to toronto and not quite familiar with ttc buses..lol. help me out if you can please.

  1. The TTC works just like YRT worked before VIVA started running, with a few twists.

Cash fare ($2.75 - Adult), tickets or tokens ($2.25 each if you spend at least $10) will get you a transfer that is only valid for a one-way trip with no stopovers. There also have day, weekly and monthly passes available.

Hope it doesn't take too long for you to get used to the TTC, and welcome to Toronto.
