Hello I wonder why restaurant drinks and normal coke bottles at a gas station tastes different, I think Fast food drinks are more refreshing then regular drinks why is that?

Why are they different in taste? What do they put in those drinks that they so call "Soft Drinks"?

  1. soft drink is just a generic term for soda.

the difference between restaurant sodas and bottled soda is that a bottled soda is prepackaged, while at a restaurant it comes from a fountain.  The fountain is hooked up to packages of soda syrup and carbonated water.  It's not mixed until it the little button on the fountain is pushed.  So, its fresher and more bubbly than a bottled soda.  Sometime, the syrup to water ratio is different too.  I like my soda a little less syrupy than what comes in a bottle.
