Difference in SD cards?

You know the brands like Sandisk or Kingston but what's so different about each of them? Different quality or something?

I'm sure there's some measurable differences but it would be so small you wouldn't even notice it. For me it comes down to price. Buy the cheapest. Kingston and Sandisk are reliable manufacturers and I've used their memory cards with no problems so far.

also some machines dont accept any other card than the brand/type that it says in the manual.

Different brands make different qualities of memory cards some brands may even transfer files slower which is why they may be cheaper.
