  1. 4T tends to be shorter in length than a size 4/5.  That is the only distinct difference that I have noticed and I have two kids who are really tall so I always had to buy the regular 4/5 instead of 4T

  2. 4T is like your 4 year old is still in babby sizes, then the 4/5 is  like he's a bigger size 4. My 5 year old is in 5T, but he can still wear 4/5 xs.

  3. not much but ive noticed that the 4t are cheaper but size wise not a big difference at all

  4. I think a 4T has a little extra room in the bottom for a diaper and a 4/5 is slightly slimmer and longer.

  5. There is a slight difference.. When my daughter was a 4T I would get the XS. Go for the large size..

  6. XS is slightly bigger than 4T

  7. I have actually found XS to be smaller than 4T, the XS fits more like a 2T... Kids clothing can be really confusing. Everything fits differently.

  8. Toddler sizes are usually fuller in the seat, to allow room for diapers.  Other than that, you'll just have to try the garment on/hold it up to your child.  Different manufacturers size clothing differently, (and different kids are built differently) so  your child may wear a 4T in one garment, a 2T in another and a 5 or 6 in something else.
