  1. Sociology is the study of human interaction.  A sociological problem would be a theoretical issue.  A social problem is a dilemna a society faces which would be of concern to sociologists.


  2. binge drinking is a social problem.  they call sociologists and others to help find solution.  it becomes a sociological issue.  researchers get together and have to conduct survey.  research tools all set up but when implemented at the ground level - data collection - problems arise eg parents not cooperative / in denial.  youngies also in denial.  research assistants did not comply with standards etc.  during data collation and analysis - flaws appear
