  1. disneyland is two parts, three hotels and a shopping/entertainment area (Downtown Disney) and everything is in one area. you can walk from one park to another to the hotels, etc.  Its very convinient. there are a lot of rides in very little space. all the land around disney is filled with restaurants and hotels. which makes it cool because again, you can get a hotel near by and walk to the parks. or eat outside the park.

Disney World is four theme parks, two water parks, over a dozen disney owned hotels, two miniature golf courses and a shopping/entertainment area (again, Downtown Disney).

you really can't walk between parks. you need to drive or use teh disney transportation system. the parks are much larger and things dont seem as cramped. there are a couople of parks that are really different from what Disneyland has to offer. Epcot has the world shocase that give you a glimpse of different countries and their culture through shows, food and shopping. Animal Kingdom is like a theme park and zoo combined.  so if you like animals its a must do.

although some parks have the same rides, and for the most part, its almost identical but some rides are different and others are only at one of the two parks. Matterhorn, only at disneyland. Expedition Everest, only at Animal Kingdom in florida.

most people will like whatever their first park is. so if they grew up going to disneyland and then go to disney world, they feel that is too big and not enough stuff to do. people that grew up going to disney world feel that disneland is small and seems crowded. they don't like that right next to the park is a major street and you can see the cars from certain parts of the park.

Either way both parks are fun.

  2. Disneyland is located in Anaheim, California. It consists of two parks: Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure. Disneyland Park has a couple rides that are not found at Walt Disney World, and vice versa.

Walt Disney World is located in Orlando, Florida. It consists of four parks: Magic Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios (previously Disney-MGM Studios), Epcot, and Animal Kingdom.

  3. Disneyland Resort:

Disneyland was founded as a single park by Walt Disney on July 17, 1955, in Anaheim, California. In 2001, the area was officially named the Disneyland Resort with the opening of Disney's California Adventure Park, two new resort hotels and the Downtown Disney retail, dining and entertainment district. Disneyland celebrated its 50th anniversary on July 17, 2005. Its properties, listed below, are divided into parks, shopping centers, and resorts:

    Downtown Disney

    Resorts:

    Walt Disney World Resort:

The Walt Disney World Resort opened Oct. 1, 1971, with the Magic Kingdom (similar in layout to Disneyland) and three resort hotels in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, a few miles southwest of Orlando. The property is twice the size of Manhattan, with about a quarter of it having been developed to date. It has become the most popular tourist destination on Earth, with four theme parks, two water parks, a shopping and entertainment complex, 20 resort hotels, 2 mini golf courses and eight (real) golf courses. Its properties, listed below, are divided into parks, shopping centers, and resorts:

Sorry...lol...disneyworld is bigger than Disneyland, however...i prefer disneyland...Disneyworld is many of Disney's "worlds" there's epcot, animal kingdom, MGM, etc...it's actually quite amazing...whereas disneyland is just the theme park...well...with california adventure...Disneyland is in Anaheim, CA and Disneyworld is in Orlando, Florida. Also...epcot...is amazing...that's the only park in disneyworld that i like...it's made up of various countries including that countries food and culture...it's really cool
