Differences between structural engineering and civil engineering?

  1. Apparently, most of the guys imagine the Structural Engineering  & Civil Engineering as a study in almost similar discipline as both of them are related to constructions. Actually it's not the case in real. CE is for building and constructing. But SE is formidded on entirely designing capability and creativity.

  2. from what i know, civil is broader.

    as per the name, civil engineering encompasses traffic control, road engineering/mapping, stuff like that, landscapes

    structural engineering only deals with the structical integrity of the designs of buildings

    but hey, what do i know, i'm in neither

  3. Civil engg is  an engineering fiels encompassing  Constrction, Survey  and design aspects of any constructions.

    it also  encompasses  Structural  engg.

    StructuraL Engg talks  about the design os structures which support the constructions.
