For the construction of transformer core C.R.G.O.Steel is used,But in case of rotating machines core is made in Steel.why not C.R.G.O.steeel is not used in rotating machine,if used what's prbolem arises?

  1. Design Engineering is not always based on trial and error, speculation or suppositions.

Do not try to re-invent the wheel when something has already been investigated and proven, of course if you want to improve upon it that's another matter. Then you have to know why its there in the first place. That's why they say all that glitters is not gold.

Metallurgical examinations and explanations have their respective place in industry, that's how they discovered so many varieties of steels and stainless steel and other precious and important metals.

  2. results in increase of iron loss and rise in temperature of the Transformer which may result in partial or complete destruction of the coil insulation and sludging of the coil.

    it also damage secondary coil

  3. I suppose the difference is that grain oriented is, well, grain oriented as compared to random? but then all rolled steel tends to have the grain _somewhat_ oriented, so maybe the difference is a bit subtle, the deliberately oriented is presumably more oriented.

The first web site found says:

"Grain oriented electrical steels are iron-silicon alloys that provide low core loss and high permeability needed for more efficient and economical electrical transformers.   Grain oriented grades of electrical steel are typically used for transformer cores and large generators."

    A generator is a rotating machine !?

In some , or some parts of, rotating machines, the direction of the magnetic field varies, and if the oriented grain is optimum for one field direction it follows that it would be sub-optimum for other directions.
