i used to be in this team, but this year they decided to stop taking part in leagues, so i had to move to another team.

last tuesday i went to their training session, i really had fun and also the other players were really great with me, but there is this only one problem, the new coach is teaching me totally new and very different techniques, and i am so used with my old techinques:( what should i do?

  1. its best to use the coaches techniques during practice. soon these new ways will become second nature. however in a game do what comes natural. most coaches over look techniques in games ,as long as you make the play, it will be ok to use you're techniques. sometimes focusing too much can cause frustration.

  2. I would be thrilled to learn from different coaches, but I am not sure whether all other players are thinking the same.

Fitting into a new team is kind of difficult. It sounds like all your teammates know you are good, which makes things much easier. Your only task now is to pretend that you did not know anything so that you can pick up all new stuff from your new coach as soon as possible, unless you think this new coach is not teaching you anything that makes any sense (in that case you should quit).

You will have your chance later to compare old against new techniques and figure out which one is better.
