Different gerbils???

Question

i have a albino gerbil who loves being held and it quite skinny but i also have a brown one who always runs when i hold him and is quite fat

1. why is the albino skinnyer than the brown one?

2. why does the brown one always run away but the albino on doesnt?

I had guinea pigs like this. One loved being held, the other hated it. Its just the personality. Maybe the albino one doesn't eat as much or the brown one eats too much

I highly doubt it has to do with the fact that one's albino, & the other isn't.

It's probably just their personalities.

It's all about their personalities - they are individuals, even if they are twin brothers/sisters - they can behave differently (to say nothing of th physical constitution).

My two gerbils were quite similar to each other, but I once had two mice, identical twins. One of them were wild - ran away, didn' like to be held in hand, she even ran away from her cage (had to move chests around to get it). But the other one was completely different - calm, sociable, when held in hand, didn't want to go back to cage. When I approached the cage, she stood by the door waiting to be held. She liked to sleep in my palms.

Why? Just little critter's personality...

If one is is slower and skinnier then I'm afraid to say the brown one is probably bullying the white one, like not letting it eat and taking all the food for itself, try watching their behavior without them seeing you.

ignore that other answer different gerbils different personality

and bout thaat other weight thing one might not eat as much but to get him to just mke sure he is eating and to make the brown one not so scared hold him alot
