So I'm looking into the military I really want to join but what jobs are there?

I'm more brainy than anything and am interested in: science, psychology, and intelligence, so things along those lines maybe.

Any branch is welcome just tell me what branch you are talking about and a GOOD description on what exactly the job is.

  1. Go to college first Then if you want join the military, and become an officer. If you must, join the air force. In college major  in science, psychology. If then you like intelligence, look up the CIA web Page.

  2. First, you need to know that All military contracts are 8 year contracts and no branch is currently offering a 2x6. The contract you will sign if you join the military will be a 4x4 or a 6x2. A 4x4 means you will serve 4 years of active duty and 4 years in the Individual Readiness Reserves (IRR)... A 6x2 means you will serve 6 years of active duty Or 6 years of reserve duty and 2 years of IRR. Also, it is illegal for a female to hold a "combat" position (infantry, artillery, etc).

If you're serious about wanting to join then pick the branch you're leaning toward and go talk to a recruiter. They can't tell you much as far as your job options until you take the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery). Once you take the ASVAB get your scores from the recruiter you talk to and then go talk to recruiters from all the other branches and see what they offer you.

If you're leaning towards school and still want to do the military then take 4 years... get a bachelors degree and go in as an officer.

Its a big decision so make sure you know what you want and have all your facts straight.

    Good luck!

  3. a 2 year contract is not an option in the Marine Corps. It is illegal for women to be directly involved in combat anyways, for good reason. In the Marine Corps there is intelligence, Avionics, Linguistics, Communications, the list goes on on, but which MOS you qualify for depends on your ASVAB score. Visit www. military. com and join the forums and search for your answers, on descriptions of these specific MOS's. I guarantee they have the answer somewhere before you ask. Also, go to a recruiting station one day and talk to all  branches, they are usually all in one building, and just see what your options are.

  4. there are many various jobs women do. but there are jobs that women cant do like front line infantry. i suggest u take the asvab test and then ur recruiter will tell you what jobs that are aviable as far as what jobs can u do? it depends on ur asvab test that really determines ur limits. i scored really high on math and english and they wanted me to be a computer programmer but thats boring so i chose hospital corpsman instead so i can see some action :D i think u should go to ur local recruiter station and look around. regardless of what branch u chose they will try to make you stay in their branch lol but dont listen to them and go to other branches and look around
