Different license... am i still able to open a bank account?

I moved to Michigan. And I have a Alabama drivers license. I need to open a bank account, tommorow I start a new job. I cant get my new license yet. Will they still accept me opening a bank account?

Yes, unless you have a history of owing banks money and not paying. Why would any bank not take on someone who could potentially make them some profit?

any drivers license issued by an official US state counts as valid ID... if they get funny, tell them to give the DMV a call to validate it if they're really bothered.
