whats the pH level of the mouth where salivary amylase works?

whats the pH level of the stomach where pepsin works?

answers with sources would be wonderful...

sources not from wikipedia would be even more wonderful!

  1. Surprisingly, the pH range of saliva is rather large, from 5.0 to pH 8.0 (first link).  The pH of the stomach is much more acidic, around 1-3 (second link).
