Different side effects everytime I take this pill?

I take a muscle relaxant, Flexeril, for back pain. Sometimes I take it, and it makes my heart race and I feel anxious. Other times I get extremely tired, and then at other times, I have no side effects. The food I eat doesn't change, and neither does the other pills I take with it. Can you explain this?

I'm not a doctor, but some things you might check are:

1 - Does the time of day you take it change?

2 - Do you take it with food sometimes and without food other times? (or does the amount or type of food change)

3 - Horomone levels? (do you notice different side effects during different parts of your cycle)

4 - Are you noticing differences when you take 1 in a day and then take 2 in a day?

This doesn't really answer your question, but some things maybe to consider.  I've taken flexeril before and have had no side effects, or it might make me really tired.  You can also check a site like www.webmd.com and look up the medication and see if it mentions any of your side effects.
