I've found the standard "kaxol" searching online. Can someone who speaks Hebrew tell me if there are other words that mean "blue" or various shades of blue. Thanks!

  1. There's Tchelet (or "Txelet" as you write it) which nowadays means light blue.

    There's also Tachol/Taxol which menas "bluish".

  2. Boomerang is right as usual...

    We have:

    * כחול [kaxol]- "blue"

    * תכלת [txelet]- "azure"; "light blue"

    * תכול [taxol]- "bluish"; "light blue"

    * כחל [kxal/ kaxal]- a biblical word. In Modern Hebrew it is mainly used in the phrase "bli kxal usrak" ('without blue and red makeup'- without embellishment; as it is)
