Question:

Different wedding flowers... too much or ok?

My bouquet is all roses (hot pink/pink) and the vase holding it will have one white orchid in it. The bridesmaids will have white silk roses as their bouquets as well. I have two 19inch decorative pieces on the stage that are three tulips (deep pink) very beautifully fit into the tall vases. The table centerpieces won't have flowers on them.

Too many different kind of flowers or ok?

  1. It's your wedding, so use whatever flowers you like. If all these are some of your favorites and you think they look nice, that's all that matters. I think the flowers you have chosen will look great. Also, I think it's a good idea to leave flowers out of the centerpieces. It's cheaper to use something else.

  2. I'm not a wedding expert but maybe you should stick to one type of flower, maximum two! Hot pink is already a bold colour...let that be the focus, rather than making it look too busy with the other flowers! Personally, sticking to just roses (even if they all the same colour) looks stunning!

  3. Sounds pretty, but would eliminate the white orchid and stick to just the pink roses...the one white orchid might detract or look a little lost...Also, just me, but I would not incorporate silk flowers at a wedding.  If money is tight, remember, it's not the size of the bouquets that matter.  The bridesmaids could carry just one single flower and some greenery such as ivy or something lacy and pretty.  There are some really pretty hot-pink flowers...I think they are called "star gazers," or something like that.  They are large, so maybe just one or two of those w/the greenery, and that way you would be sticking with your hot-pink theme as well.

  4. This is similar to the color rule. You can have 1 type of flower for the focal point and then an accent flower. Usually 3 different types can overdo it. For your bouquet, maybe try just holding a single stem orchid, have the bridesmaids carry their rose bouquets. For the stage decor, maybe more orchids? Or just replace all orchids with tulips.

(a suggestion -there's a light pink/white rose called a sweet unique .....VERY beautiful)

  5. no i think this sounds very nice and will look great. dont worry about what anyone else thinks anyway...its your day and make it special for you and the way you want things. congrats
