  1. You want Gold then.. That allows you to chat and play online w/friends, you can download updates and contents for games and system updates.

Silver does that too but without the ability to play games online.

Platinum i dont know, im happy with Gold. Probs only difference is the price and the ability to do stuff that you probably dont even care about.

  2. there are only 2 xbox live acconts

one is silver whitch is free an only lets u download week old contect off marketplace

    and

theres gold  thats lets u play mutiplayer and download stuff the day it comes out

so the ones u want is gold  whitch is 6 bucks a monht or 20 bucks for 3 months or 12 month for 50 bucks

and new xbox comes with 3 one month gold trails of gold

  3. you will want gold, there is only silver and gold live memberships. with gold you can do everything that live has, but you cant play online with silver.

Silver is free when you sign up in dashboard, gold will cost you £40 for a year subscription.

  4. There's only silver and gold.

Silver lets you use the marketplace to get upgrades, buy games, etc.  Basically, you can do everything except play against other people online.

Gold is just silver with the ability to play against other people.
