Differnt types of silver?

Hi i'm looking for a silver necklase for me a man. and i was wondering i was looking on ebay. but what kind of silvers are there so i know im geting the most for my money

Sterling silver which is 92.5% silver is the best. It may be stamped sterling or 925. Stay away from plated as it will wear off.

Fine silver is 99.9% silver or better - too soft for jewelry

Britannia silver is purer than sterling, at least 95.84%

Mexican silver is also purer than sterling, usually 95%
