Love is the ability to just sit in a room with the one you love, and not say  a word to each other, not be near each other, and not even be paying attention to each other, but know that the other is as happy to be there as you are, and know that the other will always be there.  Love is loyalty, and commitment.

Lust is the physical attraction.  Lust is want, but once that want is fulfilled, it may end.  Lust feels good, but tends to do more harm than good.
