ok here it goes, i just bought new amps and stuff for my car and hooked them all up, they worked fine for a few days but then my 4 channel that runs my interior speakers developed this static noise that is affected by pushing the brakes, turn signals, headlights, any electric draw affects it, i unplugged the rcas and still the noise is there, i figured engine noise throw the power wire, since the alternator whine was still present, so i bought an 8 farads capacitor, just recently installed noise is still there, i've made sure the grounds are tight in the connector, so a sanded part of the car body, the amp is new but im beggining to think that the noise is internally from the amp itself anyone have suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated

  1. Definitley has to do with the grounding

  2. Most of the time the noise stimulates from a non resistor plug wires. Start by making sure the ground wire is 8" or shorter and the RCAs are thick enough. Also if the power wire is ran on the same side as the RCAs this can stimulate noise.

  3. ARES is dead wrong.

First off why did you buy an 8 fared cap for? Are you running 8,000 watts rms? Since that would be the only reason why anyone would use that cap, also you do not need the cap. Is what you need is a ground loop isolator. You unplug your rca's at the amp, plug your rca's into the isolator, then plug the isolator into the amp. Noise should be gone at that point.
