A. Technical:

1. Degradation of soil because of indiscriminate use of chemical fertilizers and water

2. Constantly reducing soil organic matter

3. Increase in slat and alkalinity of water

4. Changing weather conditions

5. Accumulated toxic chemicals in soil, water, and ecosystem

6. Negative effects of using hybrid seeds on disease/ pest resistance

7. Non availability of cattle/ organic matter for agriculture

8. Heavy dependence on non-renewable energy.

9. Constant run off of soil nutrients with water

10. Reduction in number of beneficial insects

11. Reduction in natural shelf life of the produce

B: Commercial:

1. Negative effect on pricing of the produce, even due to distant &  at times unrelated issues.

2. No fair price discovery mechanism [based on actual production cost]

3. Non-availability of manpower for working in agriculture field
