Difficulties understanding a math problem.?

The question the problems asking is:

If the area of net 2 is 32 square centimeters,what is the area of net 1 ?

Theres two T's,The small one is net 2 and on the left side it has a xcm

The large one is Net 1 and on the left side it has a 3xcm.

I wish I could draw the figure on here,but I hope you get the picture Thank you.

  1. If the sides of a net are three times the sides of another, its area will be nine times as large because area comes in square units so you have to square the three.  So net 1's area will be 32 • 9
