I dont know if there is something medically relevant here or if this happens to everyone but after taking a hot shower while the room is still steamy or in a room ( Big or Small) thats filled with perfume and/or cologne i develop a severe difficulty breathing and am forced to step outside and get fresh air or i feel like i will pass out. Is this just a something normal or what? Also i feel like I have a lump in my throat at these times that makes breathing even more difficult.

  1. Hi. It could be asthma or allergies. Best is to talk to your doctor about this.

  2. I wonder if the steam in the shower puts fragrance from soaps and so forth into the air and thus adds to your breathing situation.

Sounds like you are alergic to me. Perhaps you should get checked out by a doctor?  They might want to pin down with tests exactly what you are alergic too, it could be helpful going forward.

Sometimes when I see Madonna I forget to breath but that's a different issue.

  3. maybe your a normal human being that doesnt like lots of chemicals in the air while trying to breathe. that happend to me once when i was a kid. i tried to take a breath and no air. i opend the shower glass and took a breath. go to the doctors if you still have this problem, or have a friend experiement with it and see how he/she feels how hard it is to breathe

  4. When you take a shower Chlorine  or Choramine depending where you live is inhaled when the water turns to steam or mist which is dangerous and harmful to your lungs also the mist from perfumes and colognes are full of chemicals as well that are vaporised or turned to mist which is inhaled.

Try getting a good shower filter Amazon has some good deals the Aquasana is supposed to be the best but it cost about $75 so I got a Culligan which works good to at only $15. Since buying it 3 months ago my hair has stopped falling out so much.

Try buying natural perfumes made with essential oils and not 20-40 ingredients you cannot read.

Did you know your body absorbs more water in the shower than you drink the entire day ? So a good filter on the shower is just as important as filtered drinking water.

  5. The trouble with perfume/cologne could be allergies. I have some that make me crazy with sneezing and coughing. I try to avoid them when possible and rarely wear any unless they are natural.

As for the difficulty after the shower I don't know. Maybe try a cooler shower so it doesn't really humidify?? your sinuses.
