  1. Good luck.  I have been lookng for one for over a month and have not found one yet.  Have decided to keep the 6Meg Digital Camera and continue to make movies with it.  Can get 30 minutes on a 1G card.  Some of the new Sony Digital Cameras are highly rated for low light shooting which is the important part.  All low priced camcorders use the 1/6 CCD and is very poor quality for low light shooting.  None have a built in light except on the display so you can see what is not being recorded properly for later viewing.  Save up and get a decent one at a later date.

  2. Why don't you go to CNET.com and read the reviews on camcorders ? You can also go to camcorderinfo.com. As far as I know DVD cams aren't a good thing to buy because from what I've heard they're not as clear as the other ones. I don't know about the newest ones. Always do some search before you buy and don't take the salesmen word.
