Difficulty of ACT test?

How hard are the math and science sections on the ACT? I've heard that the math ACT was harder than the math SAT. Is this true? Also, are the reading and english hard? Math isn't really my subject, but I have to take the ACT, so is a grade of 30 obtainable for me? Thanks.

  1. easy as h**l

  2. Not sure about the math & science, but I've heard mixed reviews of the difficulty of the test. I believe that with the ACT the essay portion is given last whereas with the SAT it's first. This might make it a bit tougher because you'll be drained and ready to get out of there and you'll still have an essay to write. As far as the multiple choice sections, I've heard different reactions, but overall I've heard that they're basically similar.

  3. The math section is primarily basic algebra and basic geometry. For the science section, you can know zero science and get an A.  There are a bunch of charts and graphs that you need to be able to read and analyze.

So even if you dont do well on one of the subjects, it is only 1/4 of your composite score.  A 30 is obtainable for you i'm sure.
