Difine neutral lipids, in what way they are differ from lipids.?

lipids mainly contain Hydrophilic and hydrophobic groups,water attracting groups are exposed outside and hating groups are immerssed interior.

  1. A neutral lipid does not carry any charged group(ionizable group), like phosphate, amino group, choline etc.


  2. Neutral lipids are basically a triglyceride made of 3 fatty acids linked to a glycerol and have no polar group as phospholipids do. So although they have a hydrophobic tail they do not have a hydrophilic (charged) head.
