Digestive Disorder???

I have something wrong with my digestive system... I am 22yrs old and

I have the "runs" constantly anytime I eat anything!

It used to not be as bad and would only happen with greasy things and ice cream...now it seems as though its all the time.

I have been to the doctor about this and since I dont have insurance theres not much that can be done other than figuring out what kind of food bothers me and avoiding it..but it can be when I eat anything! Im not sure what I can do to help fix this problem, Im afraid to ever eat and I wouldnt dare go out to eat anymore because I would be immediately running to the bathroom every 5 minutes. Anyone know what this could possibly be and what kind of food might help???

  1. You could have IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)

If doctor care is out of the question you should try to closely monitor your diet, keep a journal of exactly what you ate that day and how you felt, how frequently you ran to the bathroom.  Also eliminating stress, as hard as that can be, will always do wonders on your digestive system.

As always for a lot of digestive problems a good, healthy diet and plenty of fluids each day helps as well.

  2. 1. Gall Bladder needs to come out.

    2. Crone's Disease

    3.  Serious Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

My first guess, especially because of the greasy foods is the Gall Bladder.  It means that it is not functioning and allowing you to absorb the greasy stuff.  All three are digestive diseases/problems and I would get it checked out immediately.  You are most likely getting dehydrated by constantly having diarrhea.  Good luck.  I have IBS and have had my spleen taken out...so I know what it feels like.

  3. What kinds of foods make you have the "runs"? If it is more dairy products, I would say you have an dairy allergy. Perhaps you have Celiac Disease.. It is where you are allergic to wheat, barley, oats, modified food starch, gluten. I hope this is helpful. I suggest you try not eating certain foods and see what makes you feel better and what makes you feel worse since you dont have insurance... Good luck!

  4. just for an emergency treatment:

drink a thick tea (daily red tea not a green tea) or some kinds of soda water like Coke or Fanta.

    avoid milk and its products.

its a kind of diarrhea (bacterial infection).

umm...wait for a day or two. after these didn't work out, go to the doctor

  5. I know how you feel, I have the same problem. I do have insurance and have been to several doctors with no luck. I just told my husband this morning that I was going to strap a bedpan to my butt so I could get on with my life. I know with me changing my diet does not seem to work. I just can't eat anything anymore. I have been diagnosed with IBS. I think the worse thing is that no one seems to know how to help. I hope someone reads this that has the answer. Good luck to you, I know what its like.
