Question:

Digibox&video/cd recorder having conection problems with scarts&cables...cheers?

Hi, tried all the perutations for the cables at the back (i used to have a lovely head of hair!!) anyway the digibox has 2 scarts and the video/cd player has 2 scarts and then you have various ariel cables does anybody know the correct sequence for these cables/scarts as i'm at my wits end...many thanks John

  1. If you have a digibox I assume your TV does not have Freeview.

    Does your video/DVD(?) recorder have Freeview? If not then you want the digibox to feed the video and then your TV so the SCARTs have to go in that order. The video has IN and OUT SCARTs so you need to check in the manual.

    The aerial connections can go in any order but you are limited to having the TV last as it will only have one aerial connection.

    Using the digibox means you can only watch and record one Freeview channel at a time.

    You will have to find the AUX channel on your TV and video/DVD to watch and record Freeview  channels.
