Digital Audio Out to Computer Speakers - Can I do it?

I have an LCD TV and would like to hook up a nice set of compter speakers I own. The only audio out is a single digital audio out port. When I hook up the computer speakers they sound really bad. Is there a way to hook them up without having to buy an expensive amplifier etc.????

Buy a cheapo surround sound system.

You can not hook up your speakers using the digital output. Is there a cable other than the power cord plugged into anything? Some of the newer LCD TVs actually have removable speakers on them that are plugged in externally. If you are absolutley certain there is not other audio outputs then you will need a HT receiver or a Stereo receiver with a digital input. They will not be real expensive. Although I do not know what you consider expensive you can get a receiver for about $100.00 which will do what you need.
